The City of Tuscaloosa was incorporated on December 13, 1819 from the Black Warrior Village" and is exactly one day older than the State of Alabama. Tuscaloosa was named an All-America City by the National Civic League in 2002 and is home to Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, allowing Tuscaloosa to have the only Mercedes-Benz Museum in the world outside of Germany.
